This is a sweet story about a little brown mouse living in Aunt L's garden. The little mouse is named Melvin. His garden friends call him "Melancholy" because he is always sad. One day Melvin makes a decision to become happy. He enlists the aid of the other garden creatures to pursue his goal. Melvin's trials and errors teach him a valuable lesson about life and happiness.
